SB 1269 – Acceptance of Honorarium

Amends Penal Code §§36.10(a)

Adds Penal Code §§ 36.07(b-1)

SB 1269 provides that transportation, lodging, and meals described by section 36.07(b) of the Penal Code are not political contributions as defined by Title 15 of the Election Code. The bill also provides that sections 36.08 (Gift to Public Servant by Person Subject to His Jurisdiction) and 36.09 (Offering Gift to Public Servant) of the Penal Code do not apply to certain items, including transportation, lodging, and meals described by section 36.07(b) of the Penal Code.
